We could recored 100 episodes talking with the MUA's Mick Doleman with all his stories and accomplishments as a activist and trade union leader and all 100 would be great. This time we got something different. Brother Doleman took the time to tell us a story that very few had ever heard up until a year ago. Listen as Mick tells us the emotional story of the sinking of the Blythe Star, a story of survival and loss, that lead to industry change that would to save sailors's lives.

The Dans wrap up the Co-recordings from the MAU WA branch conference with two leaders who are not afraid to make big changes. Christy Cain (MUA) and Mick Buchan talk walk with us about the weeks proceedings and the future of these great unions as they go forward with the merger.

While at the ITF Young Workers Conference in Buenos Aires, we met with Steve French of Keele University. Steve gives us a scary crash course in economics, trade deals and how it applies to trade unions.
